Sleeping drug policy of Ukraine
Leading organisation: All-Ukrainian union of people with drug addiction (PUD.UA)
Participating organisations: All-Ukrainian League “Legalife” and initiative group of people who use drugs from Kropyvnytskyi city, Public Health Center at the Ministry of Health, Alliance for Public Health
We had amazing action in Ukraine! More than 17 regions participated in flash mobs.
We posted a photo on the organization’s Facebook page with a hashtag.
Our demands to change the drug policy were voiced in a letter which we handed to the President about action in Kiev regarding requirements of the community.
Representatives of the state and the public talked about supporting people who use drugs at the press briefing.
TV channels showed the action in the news.
We showed a theatrical performance about “Drug policy is a sleeping beauty” in Kiev.
Community activists sang rap “Support. Don’t Punish” under the presidential administration.
