Asociación Costarricense para el Estudio e Intervención en Drogas carried out the following actions:
Objective:
To promote strategies to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among people who use drugs, especially those living with HIV, LGBTI +, in the street and deprived of liberty, through the preparation and dissemination of clear, timely and evidence-based information to key actors in Costa Rican civil society and decision makers in the area of health and justice. The activity is scheduled to take place virtually entirely, to abide by the isolation measures stipulated by the worldwide emergency of COVID-19.

- Short and informative document on COVID-19 and people who use drugs with special emphasis on people with HIV, LGBTI + and sex workers.
- Short and informative document on COVID-19 and persons deprived of liberty, with special emphasis on the Costa Rican prison system.
- A virtual workshop on COVID-19 in people who use drugs for civil society organisations and institutions in charge of HIV responses in Costa Rica
