The Day of Action in Indonesia was coordinated by Rumah Cemara and the Indonesian Network of People Who Use Drugs (Persaudaraan Korban Napza Indonesia, PKNI), with the support of other local drug policy organisations.

The various actions started on 25 June in Surabaya and closed on 27 June in Jakarta, with events taking place in 13 cities (Medan, Bengkulu, Jambi, Palembang, Makassar, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Denpasar, Mataram, Pontianak, Sukabumi and Cirebon).

The events focused on issues related to drug law enforcement. Some groups gathered at the local police station and the attorney’s office to call for a change in policing practices. In Bandung, the action was part of the official event held by the West Java Governor’s Office, Achamd Herwayan, to celebrate the National Day on Drugs. During the event, the Governor signed the “Support. Don’t Punish” campaign statement.
