As movements for social justice confront shrinking civic space and donor support, building a sustainable funding base for grassroots advocacy has never been more urgent. Support. Don’t Punish has grown into a truly global transnational platform, with thousands mobilising around the 26th of June in over 260 cities worldwide. While energy and participation reach record highs, the funding landscape remains increasingly precarious.
To meet this challenge — protecting our movement’s achievements and ensuring sustained engagement — the International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC) is commissioning a Fundraising strategy consultancy. The assignment will focus on mapping and engaging new donors and funding mechanisms that share our values of social justice, civic participation and accountability, public health and human rights. The consultant will help refine our case for support, strengthen donor relationships, and contribute to the development of high-quality proposals.
By diversifying our funding base, we aim to continue resourcing campaigners everywhere to reclaim narratives, shift policies, and push back against harmful punitive approaches. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to strengthening the long-term sustainability of one of the most dynamic transnational advocacy campaigns today and unlock its next phase of growth.
Applications should be sent to [email protected] by noon (UK time) on Monday, 8th September 2025, with “Fundraising Strategy Consultant” in the subject line.
