Special occasions deserve celebration. And, thanks to you, the fifth anniversary of the Global Day of Action was definitely very special! You’ve come out by the thousands to join the biggest call to change harmful drug policies, and made of it a resounding success. The Street Art Challenge was launched as part of this year’s celebrations to reward the ingenuity and creative flair of campaign supporters worldwide.
We’ve received amazing submissions, so choosing a winner was not easy! However, we were fascinated by the beauty of the land art composition created by our colleagues of GIRUBarcelos (APDES). Artists, activists and peers constructed a non-permanent installation that combined natural elements and materials from needle-and-syringe kits. The eye-catching installation at the Municipal Park helped engage passers-by, contributing to the action’s success. Congratulations!
