Advocacy Messages development: Community of people who use drugs were engaged to develop advocacy messages in support of people who use drugs. The messages centred on sharing facts on the needs of people who use drugs, to save their lives in line with the 2021, June 26 theme.
Public Advocacy: People who use drugs also undertook public advocacy with placards of messages developed and displayed at public centres to raise awareness on the issues of people who use drugs.
Social/Online Media Advocacy: DHRAN members and drug user peers used developed advocacy messages on the DHRAN website, social media pages of DHRAN and peers and profiles of other communication platforms to raise awareness on the issues advocated for by people who use drugs.
Media Engagement: DHRAN member organizations also engaged local television and radio stations in talking about the issues of people who use drugs.
