Day of Action 2018

City: Stockholm
Organisations: The Stockholm Drug Users Union, HarmReduction.NU

There was a gathering at the office in the meatpacking industry area just outside the city centre of Stockholm, to print out flyers, coordinate the day and prepare for the day. First, the group went to Sergels Torg, the main place for drug dealing in the heart of the city. Flyers were handed out and photos were taken with the SDP message and t-shirts as well. Second, the group walked to Kungsträdgården where a lot of people gather to eat lunch and continued to hand out flyers along the way. Lastly, the group took the subway to Medborgarplatsen and Björns Trädgård, where there are many activities for marginalised groups. Some police officers came by for discussions and they were eager to talk about drug issues, including the idea of consumption rooms. Other NGOs were also present along with users and non-users.
