City: Rawalpindi and Islamabad

  • Focus Group Session with people who inject drugs on the theme of “Support, Don’t Punish”. People discussed about the extreme stigmatisation that they have been facing. They also discussed about other important issues that they have been facing, including imprisonment on minor issues, social injustice, financial and health crises, etc.
  • Walk with people who inject drugs and living with different health conditions including HIV & HEP-C along with the slogan of “Support, Don’t Punish”.
  • Awareness session/seminar with the capital territory police of Pakistan, in which police officials were told about Support, Don’t Punish campaign, stigma and the role of police in drug policy.

Members participated in the Day of Action through the interactive photo project. This year they got even more people involved with the campaign, even recruiting some younger students for photos.


Day of Action 2018

City: Bahawalpur

This year the groups raised awareness among PWUDs, PWIDs, PLHIV and PWIDLWHIV and community members and their response was very good, community members took apart without hesitation.



Day of Action 2014

In early June, an event was organised in Pakistan by Dr. Talat, from the Nishan Rehab International, in a medical university in Abbottabad. The event aimed to introduce the key principles of the Support. Don’t Punish campaign. On 26th June, the Youth Council for Anti- Narcotics (YOCFAN) and the Drug Advisory Training Hub, with the support of MENAHRA, organised an awareness raising campaign and distributed honorary certificates to people involved in drug prevention activities during 2014.
